Terms of Service

By downloading, registering, or using the Petie mobile application or website (petieapp.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Petie. Users must be at least 18 years old to register an account.

Petie is an online marketplace that connects pet owners with independent pet care providers ("Carers") in Cyprus. Petie provides the platform and technology — we are not a pet care service provider and do not employ any Carers. All pet care services are provided directly by independent Carers.

Petie does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided by Carers, or the accuracy of their listings. We strongly recommend reviewing a Carer's profile, reviews, and ratings before booking.

You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must notify us immediately at contact@petieapp.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

• Provide accurate information about your pet(s) including health conditions, vaccinations, and behavioural traits.
• Ensure your pet is up to date with vaccinations and is fit for the booked service.
• Communicate any special needs or requirements to the Carer before the service begins.
• Agree and confirm pricing and service details directly with the Carer before booking.
• Pay for services as agreed with the Carer.

• Provide services as described in your profile and as agreed with the Pet Owner.
• Maintain accurate availability, pricing, and service information on your profile.
• Hold any required licences, permits, or insurance for the services you offer.
• Treat all animals in your care with respect and professionalism.
• Notify Petie and the Pet Owner promptly if you are unable to fulfil a booking.

Bookings are agreements made directly between Pet Owners and Carers through the Petie platform. Petie does not process payments and is not responsible for any financial transactions between users.

Users are responsible for agreeing on payment terms, methods, and amounts directly with each other. Any disputes regarding payment are to be resolved between the parties involved.

Cancellation policies are set by individual Carers and agreed upon at the time of booking. Petie does not enforce or guarantee any specific cancellation or refund policy. We encourage users to agree on cancellation terms before confirming a booking.

Users may leave reviews for Carers after a completed booking. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine experience. Petie reserves the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.

You may not use Petie to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Circumvent the platform to conduct transactions off-platform to avoid accountability
• Post or share illegal, offensive, or harmful content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Use automated tools to scrape or misuse the platform

Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal of your account.

All content on the Petie platform — including the logo, design, code, and text — is owned by or licensed to Petie. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

By uploading content (photos, profile information) to Petie, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it within the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Petie shall not be liable for:

• Any injury, harm, or death to any pet resulting from services booked through the platform
• Any loss or damage arising from a Carer's actions or omissions
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Platform downtime or technical issues

Your use of Petie is at your own risk. We strongly recommend that Carers hold appropriate pet care insurance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Petie shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Petie after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
